The knots in my shots
Meditated on the various threads and veins between me and photography. My “interest in photography” is essentially 9+ different interests/intention tracks, which all get usually lumped into just "my interest in photography".
- Telephoto way of seeing (Compression)
- Ultrawide way of showing
- Inhale-exhale
- Binoculars
- Imagined camera
- Pressure around posting, showcasing
- Liking for linear/procedural/narrative photo stories.
- Friction around transferring photo files, sorting and storing them.
- The occasional identity-related conditioned urge around expression and identity signalling.
- Long-term longitudinal historical-archival interests.
- All the creative impetuses we don’t pursue.
- Love for timelapses, simple short video frames, atmospheric/ambient/meditative clips, love for montages.
- The whole other thread involving photos with friends, family and such.
- Occasional interest to make some photo books (like the books by aows)
